Professor Muhammad Akram, the Director of Islamic Research at LEFB, has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to enhancing the educational opportunities available to those who are often underserved.
Professor Akram’s visionary approach to education has been nothing short of transformative. His work spans a diverse range of fields, including religious studies, literature, and Arabic language education, all meticulously designed to cater to the unique needs of the blind and visually challenged community. Through his efforts, he has not only enhanced the academic resources available to these students but also ensured they gain a thorough and insightful understanding of both religious and worldly subjects. Prof. Akram is working as Director Islamic Research at literaria Education Foundation for the blind with the special focus on making religious literature accessible for the visually impaired youth. Prof. Akram introduces his department as:
Anyone who desires to experience a real happiness should follow the path to serve the neglected or the no privileged people. With the same sense of bliss, my determined obligations are as under: my all efforts are designed to let my department emerge as a trend setter towards understanding the Quran and Islam as a whole. Taking it as a prerequisite, a section of Fah mu alquran is developed. Which comprises of renowned Urdu and English translations, supplemented with a booklet imparting obligations of the believers towards the holy Quran. The book Mutradifatu alquran is rendered to provide clarification references and notes to resolve Language semantics. A sub section is developed of Quran studies. This attempt determines ways, dimensions and rules of studying and understanding the Quran. Another section is named Islam. This section aims at providing a comprehensive grasp of religion and resolves the modern incertitude towards Islam. Another section is of Fiqah; aims at promoting the understanding of Islamic social law. The richest section is alarabiatu sahlla it aspires at evolving indigenous proficiency in Arabic language to freely understand the Quranic text. Making it promiscuous, forty lessons based on the words frequently used in Urdu are placed in their Arabic forms of use. Other supplementing material shell be placed in all these sections from time to time. As a necessity converging effort, another sphere; under Urdu literature, is also managed to provide selective and adequate knowledge of relative fields. Such as Drama, fiction, personality grooming and history. All this is being done with the hope that it shell not only provide religious and reason enlightenment to the blind and the visually challenged people, but it shell also strengthen the attenuating religious concerns in our society.
